Conhecido no mundo todo como Cidade Maravilhosa, o Rio merece ser visto e aproveitado em cada um de seus metros quadrados. Porque o Rio é único, e é lindo. E atrações para quem quer passear e conhecer o melhor da cidade não faltam.<br /><br />Mas quem mora na cidade também consegue curtir suas delícias? O Carioquinha chegou para facilitar esse acesso. O objetivo é aproveitar a baixa temporada turística para preparar o morador da cidade para ser um agente divulgador do Rio e de suas belezas. E também oferecer a ele o que a cidade tem melhor a preços mais baixos que os praticados no mercado tradicional de turismo.<br /><br />Assim nasceu o Carioquinha, sucesso tão grande que chega a 2008, em sua 10.ª edição. Strange, full of contrasts, promises and dangers.<br /><br />Some tips about travels:<br /><br />1 - Define where to go.<br /><br />2- Ask yourself few questions:<br />- Why do I'd go there?<br />- What kind of dangers I'll face<br />- What expectations do I have?<br />- What worst thing should happen ?<br />- Am i prepared to it ?<br />- Do I have life insurance?<br />- When is the best period to go there?<br />- Why this specif time of the year?<br />- Am I sure?<br /><br />3- Research. A lot!<br />- weather<br />- currency<br />- costums<br />- language minimum requirements ( SOS word in local language)<br />- vaccination requirements<br />- visa requirements<br />- local regulations about stuff ( lugagge, drinks, drugs,etc.)<br />- political situation<br />- local areas with possible problems or dangers ( ex: guetos and "favelas")<br />- local news<br />- hotels localization ( some cheap hotels are located in "cheap" areas)<br />- local transportation (what is available, how much, when and where)<br />- places to visit<br /><br />4- Never repeat words someone told you laughing ( you may be teasing someone without realizing it)<br /><br />5- Be cool about delays<br /><br />6 - Always have a "B" plan - not all places we may visit really want us there.<br /><br />7 - Always look around for the emergency exit.<br /><br />8 - Don't think everybody is nice as they are at your home.<br /><br />9 - Don't show off!<br /><br />10 - Simple pleasures are great but never left your money pocket with strangers while you are swimming on a wonderful beach.<br /><br />11- Carry travellers checks.<br /><br />12- Check emergency local phone numbers. You may need them.<br /><br />13- Be prepare to be really surprised.
